A CSRC Reading Specialist is directly responsible for improving reading skills in one-on-one therapy sessions. Children would be between the ages of 6-18 years old.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include evaluation, planning and provision of reading and literacy related therapy services.
Instruct students individually, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Use Orton Gillingham or other explicit phonics instruction.
Confer with parents or guardians after each therapy session of the instruction and progress in the session
Prepare lesson plans to match student’s needs and care plan goals
Assist with literacy development, including writing, spelling, fluency, phonics, and comprehension.
Complete appropriate clinic documentation, such as daily therapy notes, evaluation reports and progress reports
Interact with and engage the children in a positive manner
Provide supportive and professional communication with staff, parents, and children
Have the ability to create a work schedule that is based on student need
Adhere to all CSRC policies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Currently hold a BA or MA in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Special Education, or Orton Gillingham training/certification
At least one year work experience in a school or one-on-one tutoring center
SCHEDULE: either part-time 10-20 hours per week or full-time 32-40 hours week
PAY AND BENEFITS:
Pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience, $25-35/hour
CSRC provides up to a 3% match in an employee retirement plan

A CSRC speech-language pathologist (SLP) would support our programs in Fort Collins and Loveland.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Must be ASHA Certified and hold a Speech-Language Pathologist license through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
Minimum of three years of professional SLP experience working with children and families
An understanding of the mission and goals of CSRC
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide in-office speech/language screenings and determine if therapy is warranted
Provide preschool speech/language screens, at off-site facilities, throughout the year
Identify, assess, and diagnose communication disorders (articulation, language, voice, and fluency)
Administer speech/language assessments and plan appropriate treatment
Write evaluations, progress care plans and daily notes in an EHR program
Provide quality treatment to children with a variety of speech and language needs
Counsel parents regarding specific communication disorders and provide suggestions to help increase carryover of skills to the home environment
Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate services
Work and act as a team player in all interactions with the CSRC staff
PAY AND BENEFITS:
Pay is commensurate with experience $35-48/hour for SLP-CCC, $28-38/hour for CF.

A CSRC Early Literacy teacher would be directly responsible for improving early literacy/pre-literacy skills and phonological processing in small groups at partnered preschools. This teacher would be responsible for providing services in 4-6 partnered preschools. The children participating in the program are four - five years of age. You would provide instruction and oversee fun, multi-sensory activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include evaluation, planning and instruction of early literacy skills.
Observe and evaluate children’s performance, behavior, social development, literacy skills, and phonemic awareness skills.
Instruct students in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Use systematic and explicit phonics instruction toward teaching the alphabet sounds.
Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use to enhance their knowledge of letter recognition and phonics instruction.
Conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
Complete appropriate paperwork for attendance and progress toward preliteracy goals
Be able to use spreadsheets to chart student data and growth
Communicate with preschool staff and respond to minor/immediate issues that may arise.
Interact with and engage children in a positive manner.
Provide supportive and professional communication with CSRC and preschool staff.
Adhere to all policies found in the CSRC Employee Handbook.
Work 8-15 hours/week, depending on the number of preschools & students
QUALIFICATIONS: (Have one or more of the following)
Currently hold a degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Special Education, or Orton Gillingham training/certification
At least a year in child development work experience in a school/child care setting/or one-on-one tutoring
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to successfully pass and maintain all background checks.
Ability to use computer to access and update documents required for this position.
Able to climb up and down stairs.
Pay Scale: $20-25/hour (depending on experience)
